1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website or booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Dog Vibes Dog Training is owned and operated by Kevin Clarke, a sole proprietor based in Portland, Oregon ("Dog Vibes," "we," "us," or "our").

2. Services

Dog Vibes provides personalized dog training consulting services, including:

Virtual consultations via Google Meet
Customized training plans and recommendations
Follow-up support and guidance

Dog Vibes uses positive reinforcement and classical conditioning methods. All training advice is tailored to the individual dog and owner based on information provided during the intake process.

Dog Vibes does not guarantee specific training outcomes. Results vary based on the dog's temperament, history, health, and the owner's consistent application of recommended techniques.

3. Booking and Scheduling

Consultations are booked through our scheduling system (Calendly), which links to Google Meet.
You will receive a confirmation email with your meeting link after booking.
Please complete the intake survey before your first consultation. We cannot provide personalized guidance without this information.
Appointments are subject to availability.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of service or as invoiced via Stripe.
All prices are listed in USD.
We reserve the right to update our pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect already-booked sessions.
Stripe processes all payments. By providing payment information, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellations with 24+ hours notice: Full refund or free reschedule.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice: 50% charge may apply at our discretion.
No-shows: Full session fee applies.
Dog Vibes reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or a priority reschedule option.

6. Client Responsibilities

By booking our services, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information about your dog, including health history, behavioral issues, and any known aggression or reactivity
Disclose any prior incidents of biting, aggression, or injury caused by your dog
Ensure your dog is up to date on core vaccinations (rabies, DHPP) and is currently on flea/tick preventative
Take full responsibility for your dog's behavior during and after any consultation
Apply training techniques responsibly and consistently
Consult a licensed veterinarian for any health-related concerns about your dog

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Oregon law:

Dog Vibes Dog Training provides educational and consulting services only. We are not responsible for:

Any injury to you, your dog, or third parties resulting from the application (or misapplication) of training advice
Any property damage caused by your dog
Any outcomes resulting from pre-existing behavioral or medical conditions
Any decisions you make based on our recommendations

Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Assumption of Risk

Dog training involves inherent risks, including the possibility of injury from animal behavior. By engaging our services, you acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume them.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Dog Vibes website — including text, images, training materials, and resources — is owned by Kevin Clarke and protected under U.S. copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without written permission.

10. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use your information.

11. Email Communications

By booking a consultation or completing our intake form, you consent to receive transactional emails related to your appointment (confirmations, reminders, follow-ups). Marketing emails require a separate opt-in and can be unsubscribed from at any time.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Multnomah County, Oregon.

We encourage you to contact us first if you have any issue — most problems can be resolved directly and informally.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
